☞Quoth the Raven, “Nevermore.” ☞Today in History -- On today’s date 173 years ago, Wednesday, October 3, 1849, famous American author, poet, editor, & literary critic Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) was found delirious in a gutter in Baltimore, Maryland under mysterious circumstances. ☞The man who found him, one Joseph W. Walker, stated that Poe was “in great distress, and... in need of immediate assistance,” This was the last time that Edgar Allan Poe was ever seen alive in public.
