Hisashi Ouchi Suffered History’s Worst Radiation Burns — Then Doctors Kept Him Alive For 83 Excruciating Days Against His Will After a fateful accident at Japan’s Tokaimura nuclear power plant in 1999, Hisashi Ouchi lost most of his skin and began crying blood before his agony finally ended. When Hisashi Ouchi arrived at the University of Tokyo Hospital after being exposed to the highest level of radiation of any human in history, doctors were stunned. The 35-year-old nuclear power plant technician had almost zero white blood cells and thus no immune system. Soon, he would be crying blood as his skin melted. The nuclear accident began before noon on Sept. 30, 1999, at the nuclear power plant in Tokaimura, Japan. With an obscene lack of safety measures and an abundance of fatal shortcuts, yet determined to meet a deadline, the Japan Nuclear Fuel Conversion Co. (JCO) told Ouchi and two other workers to mix a new batch of fuel. But the three men were untrained in the process and mixed...

THE BLOOD FALLS‼️

Image
THE BLOOD FALLS‼️ One of the most incredible natural phenomena on the planet. The mysterious formation of Antarctica that intrigued scientists for a century. They are found in the Dry Valleys of Mcmundo. The red liquid gushes out from inside the mass of ice, until it flows into Lake Bonney. Discovered by Australian geologist Thomas Griffith Taylor. The water should freeze and it does not, although the temperature in the place can reach 60 degrees below zero. The content of the lake that feeds the falls is 3 times saltier than seawater. Its waters are rich in IRON...extremely! The blood effect occurs when the lake's salty, iron-rich water seeps through fissures and falls into Lake Bonney. WHEN IT COMES IN CONTACT WITH THE AIR, IT OXIDIZES AND ORIGINATES ITS COLOR!!! It can be visited only by helicopter or cruise ship.

Brief history, belief, marriage, and language of Babur Bura people. Interestingly, the ancestors of Babur Bura together with other tribes like Luguda are believed to be among those who migrated from Yemen. The Bura people are found mostly in Borno and Adamawa state. They are known for covering their babies' heads with calabashes in the past. This practice was documented in the Autumn 1970 issue of African Arts magazine. The origin of the Babur Bura people can be traced back to the 6th century. History has it that at a point in time there was an exodus of people from Yemen in the Middle East to the Nile valley. And as at A.D.600, these people had not only dispersed, a good number of them had also reached the Sudan and Sahara. THE PAST THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE

Image
THE PAST THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE. Do you know what message this famous painting, titled the 'Deluge Scene' is intended to convey?  You see a person trying to save his father and completely ignoring his wife and kid (son) who are closer to him. The wife represents the present life, the son the future. On the other hand, the father represents the past, which the man chooses to cling to, thus losing his present life and future. A perfect metaphor of what generally works out in life. Scene of the deluge, 1827 by Joseph Désiré (1797-1865)

Victor Noir’s grave in Père - (another photo posted on comment section)

Victor Noir’s grave in Père - (another photo posted on comment section)  Noir is perhaps more famous for his death and grave than work. He was a journalist who was shot dead; the grave consists of a full-sized bronze statue of the man laying down as if he was just shot.  The statue became a fertility symbol - the story says those who kiss the statue on the lips, leave a flower in Victor’s hat and rub the genital area will find themselves with enhanced fertility, a great sex life or find a husband within one year.  The lips and trousers' bulge on the grave are noticeably shiny from people kissing and rubbing them. In 2004, a fence was built around the grave to prevent women from touching the statue but after many protests it was taken down.

MME. ABOMAH: "THE AFRICAN GIANTESS" WHO WAS ONCE THE TALLEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD

MME. ABOMAH: "THE AFRICAN GIANTESS" WHO WAS ONCE THE TALLEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD. Ella Williams (Mme Abomah) was once the world`s tallest lady in the late 1800`s and early 1900`s. She was reputed to be 7ft 6inch giantess. Though she was born in South Carolina in USA, her show manager claimed she was born In Dahomey (now Republic of Benin). Born in South Carolina in Oct. of 1865, Ella Grigsby narrowly missed being born a slave as the 13th Amendment to the U.S Constitution was ratified only 10 months previous.  Ella came to work for Elihu and Harriet Williams when as a teenager.   Because Grigsby was the family name of her parent's slave holders, Ella took the Williams surname as her own.   Abomah claimed none of her other siblings were unusually large and she had been contacted by various vaudeville and circus promoters to sign a contract and tour as a giantess, but always refused. However, while working as a cook in her native South Carolina, she agreed to be...

BEFORE HE WAS HANGED South Africa's Solomon Kalushi Mahlangu

Image
BEFORE HE WAS HANGED South Africa's Solomon Kalushi Mahlangu said "My blood will nourish the tree that will bear the fruits of freedom. Tell my people that I love them. They must continue the fight, Aluta Continua" Mahlangu's trial started in the Supreme Court on 7 November 1977. He was defended by two advocates, Messrs Ismail Mohamed, S.C. and Clifford Mailer. They faced two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder and various counts under the Terrorism Act. In its judgment the court found that Mahlangu and Motaung had acted with a common purpose and that it consequently did not matter which of the two had done the shooting and killing. Mahlangu was convicted on all counts. In terms of the South African law, the court was obliged to sentence an accused to death for murder, unless the accused proved mitigating circumstances. The court found that Mahlangu had failed to do so, and consequently handed down the death sentence. The court refused Mahlangu leav...

The wolf cross hammer

Image
The wolf cross or wolf hammer is a Viking Age silver piece of jewelry found in Foss, Iceland. The find is best known for scholars debating whether it is a Christian cross or a pagan Thors hammer. The silver cross has three arms of equal length as well as a fourth longer cross arm with an animal head so that the cross can be hung on a necklace through the animal's mouth. The most common interpretation is that it is a wolf's head, which gave it the name wolf cross. The center of the cross is pierced by another cross There are divided opinions as to whether one should interpret the wolf cross as a cross or as a special Icelandic model of Thors hammer. As the find is the only one of its kind, it is difficult to put it in an archaeological and historical context. What suggests it might be a pagan Thors hammer is the similarity to the hammer held by the famous Thor figure from Eyrarland outside Akureyri in northern Iceland. What speaks for it being a Christian cross is that ap...

'Stillborn' baby declared dead by hospital staff and buried is found alive after being dug up. A baby declared dead by hospital staff shortly after birth was buried by family members, but she was found to be alive after her body was dug up. Two members of staff at the Sub District Hospital in Banihal, India, were suspended after the newborn was found to be alive despite being pronounced stillborn just a few hours prior. The baby girl was born to Shamemma Begum on Monday, May 23, but was declared dead by medical staff almost immediately. Just two hours later, family members of the baby buried her in a nearby graveyard in the village of Hollan. However, while the funeral for the baby was still underway, locals staged an impromptu protest about the burial site. They said the newborn should be buried at an ancestral burial site instead. So, the family put the funeral ceremony on hold to dig up their seemingly deceased baby an hour later. The family were shocked to find thei...
